Interface Systems Engineer - McKesson

emids is partnered with one of the fastest-growing Health Systems in the area, in their search for a McKesson based, Interface Systems Engineer.

Position Summary:

The Interface Systems Engineer will have extensive experience with Cloverleaf and HL7. Experience with McKesson's Pathways Interface Engine (PWIM) and integration of McKesson applications is preferred. Job duties include; developing and supporting interface between systems using the Cloverleaf interface engine; ensuring system integrity, compatibility and standardization; performing feasibility and analyzing new interfaces; analyzing data mapping and data translations; using the Cloverleaf toolset to program routines within the Cloverleaf engine; providing interfaces that provide the data necessary to support all applications in the hospital system resulting in the delivery of high quality patient care. Experience working in a multi-hospital system is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Researching and analyzing integration requirements among disparate application systems and develop interface solutions.
• Interacting with vendors and contributing to application interface specifications ensuring standards compliance
• Monitoring application data between systems and resolving any data errors found, consulting with user departments to assess data flow processes and their impact on interface environment
• Modifying and writing interface code as required, performing Cloverleaf engine upgrades, conducting interface tests
• Developing reference materials for the Operations team
• Maintaining interfaces and integrating new interfaces into production
• Participating in on-call rotation of technical support after hours,
• Communicating effectively with application teams and subject matter experts.

Skill or Experience Requirements:

Knowledge of McKesson Healthcare applications and experience implementing HL7 interfaces in a multi-hospital system environment

Education or Specific Traning Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree preferred
